Thursday may 29: 6:30 PM

In this Yoga Nidra offering, you are lying down and the goal is to move into a deep state of conscious aware sleep, a state of relaxation while being somewhat alert. This involves moving from consciousness while awake to sometimes dreaming — going back and forth gently between unconscious to the conscious.

Yoga Nidra works with the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system regulates processes of the body that take place without a conscious effort (heartbeat, breathing, digestion and blood flow). This system also includes the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

Thinking about why you’re practicing — to get centered, and keep it at the forefront of the yoga nidra practice. This involves tapping into a safe space within the body so you can feel secure and at ease while you practice.

Then during a body scan, you’ll be asked to focus on certain parts or sensations throughout the body. The goal of this is to help reduce tension so you can relax and heal.

Kundalini is said to be a powerful, primal energy that represents the unmanifested potential within us; it is referring to the great field of the unknown that lies beyond the limits of our minds. Kundalini shakti can be seen as the very energy of all consciousness that dwells within each one of us. Often depicted as a serpent wrapped three and a half times, this powerful energy can be awakened by the physical and spiritual practices of yoga such as mantra, mudra, asana, and pranayama. When awakened, the kundalini shakti rises through the chakras (energy vortices) in the energetic body and leads to spiritual awakening manifested as freedom of choice, awareness, and a greater opportunity to live one’s life with fullness.

We will be doing 30 minutes of Kundalini beginner friendly movements followed by 30 minutes of guided Yoga Nidra with the crystal sound bowls.

Through SoulFlow™, you can transcend trauma, release limitations, and embody your authentic self with confidence. When we can get out of our minds and into our bodies™, it is here where we begin cultivate long-term, sustainable success on our terms and with our definition. It is here where our movement begins to lead a movement. When in the practice, it is an opportunity for you to listen to your body and move your body as much or as little as you want. You will receive benefits from this practice just by being in the container.

What is a SoulFlow™ Session like?

In this somatic work, we invite you to  trust the practice of embodiment to tap into your core soul sensations. In this 50 -70 minute workshop, you are guided to a sacred coming home party! We do this by creating a safe container for you to move freely, deeply, and lovingly while returning back to the body  ... and ultimately self love.

In the sessions, we use the modality (and music theory!) to active our Alpha and Theta brain waves to bring us into a flow state (a state typically only accessible by deep rest). By using this method, we can tap into the part of our brain that is associated with a more relaxed state and open the portals for us to stop focusing so hard on our desires outcomes. Connecting you to the presence of the present moment where true co-creation happens.

Life is sacred—for everyone, not just monks and mystics. But to feel it and see it, there are things you can do, things that bring out the wonder and connectedness of everything in life. It begins with your intention, looking in. And it’s furthered by your attention, looking out.
